If you are a piano technician, audio engineer, church, school or civic music director or a performing pianist, you have lived the nightmare of miking the acoustic piano. Oh, it's easy in the sterile environment of the recording studio, but what about the stage where the drums, bass and guitars all bleed into the piano mics. Or worse . . . your finely prepared concert grand is front and center surrounded by an 80 piece symphony orchestra! Finally, the R & D team at Barcus-Berry has provided a simple, elegant and economical solution to one of the most difficult problems we have had to solve. The BBE4000 provides accurate sound reproduction and very high gain without feedback. Now the acoustic pianist can experience the quality of amplification demanded in a concert or recording situation while giving the engineer a level of control normally reserved for electronic keyboards. The BBE4000 is flexable enough to meet the challenges of virtually every situation. It includes an balanced line out on an XLR jack and a separate monitor output on a 1/4" jack with its own independant level control. There is a 12 db pad switch and a ground lift switch for compatability with virtually any mixing console. For the road warriors, an ample supply of mylar adhesive is supplied when the unit must be moved to a different piano for each venue. Install a BBE4000 the next time you're faced with the delicate situation of getting that acoustic piano in the mix! |
